Facilities Team - Janitor/Custodian (EVENINGS & WEEKENDS) PT

Vision: A Facilities Team Member is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the building, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings. Performs routine maintenance including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors; dusting; washing walls, doors, and windows; and emptying trash. Performs room set-ups and moving fixtures and supplies. Performs minor preventative maintenance and minor repairs. Assists service personnel as needed. Reports major repair and maintenance needs. Assists with snow removal.

Responsibilities:

• Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition.
• Performs routine maintenance activities.
• Performs heavy cleaning duties.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
• Gathers and empties trash and cleans the receptacles.
• Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
• Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment.
• Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers.
• Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Effective, courteous relations exist with Church visitors, vendors, and clients.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow directions while working independently. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, maintenance procedures, and workplace safety requirements is preferred, with prior janitorial or facilities experience considered a plus. This position requires the ability to use standard cleaning equipment, work occasional evenings and weekends, and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and pulling. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, and travel between Bible Chapel campuses as needed.

Time/Allocation:Part-time hourly position, up to 20 hours/week. Shifts Available: Tues: 5PM-Close, Fri: 4PM-Close, Sat: 10AM-6PM, Sun: 7AM-3PM.

Reporting: A Facilities Team Member reports to the Operations Manager or a Team Lead when delegated
