This is a fully onsite role based at our GMP Laboratory in Middleton, WI. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Position Summary
As a Facilities Supervisor, you would supervise facilities staff and ensures facility systems, infrastructure, and equipment are maintained and repaired in a manner that supports safe, reliable operations and compliance with site Quality Management Systems. The role partners with internal project teams and external consultants to provide maintenance expertise for facility upgrades and renovations.
Specific Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day leadership and performance management for assigned staff, including coaching, development, and accountability.
Manage employee lifecycle activities including hiring, performance management, coaching, and employee relations.
Approve staffing actions, time records, expenses, and leave requests.
Serve as the site contact for facilities-related maintenance processes, including maintenance documentation and inspection readiness.
Ensure execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty service work, including in-house repairs and vendor-performed activities.
Ensure facility walkthroughs are conducted, deficiencies identified, and corrective actions implemented.
Manage vendor-led scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, work requests, and facility-related projects.
Support emergency response activities, including participation in on-call rotations and oversight of issue resolution through completion.
Oversee routine monitoring, inspections, and maintenance of facility systems and infrastructure.
Ensure building systems operate as intended, including understanding system sequences and building automation functionality.
Maintain knowledge of facility systems and ensure team capability through training and development.
Partner with Procurement and vendors to ensure contract performance and adherence to scope and KPIs.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EHS, GMP, and site policy, maintaining required training and readiness.
Track and assess team KPIs and implement process improvements.
Support budget planning, purchasing, and expenditure tracking.
Provide daily operational support and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 5 years).
1+ year of leadership responsibility
In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Advanced computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other platforms

Advanced understanding of building systems (mechanical, electrical, security, etc.)
