We hope youre one of them.The Role:This role has two salary ranges, depending on the level at which the candidate is hired:Facilities Specialist - $48,000.00 - $71,900.00Senior Facilities Specialist - $59,300.00 - $88,800.00Vivmark Residential is looking for a hands-on, service-oriented Facilities Specialist / Senior Facilities Specialist to support our corporate headquarters. In this role, youll be responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and professional workplace environment for our team members, guests, and business partners. From troubleshooting building issues to coordinating repairs and supporting office moves, youll play a critical role in the daily operations of our headquarters facility.If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, wed love to hear from you.What Youll Do:Maintain and Support Headquarters OperationsConduct daily facility inspections focused on HVAC performance, lighting, cleanliness, organization, conference room readiness, restrooms, copy rooms, and common areasRespond to and resolve day-to-day facilities requests including HVAC, plumbing, furniture, appliance, copier, shipping, and office equipment issuesPerform preventative maintenance on pantry equipment including dishwashers, microwaves, ice makers, coffee machines, and water dispensersTroubleshoot facility-related issues and coordinate vendor service calls when neededServe as the primary facilities contact when the Facilities Manager is off-sitePerform Maintenance and RepairsComplete minor repairs including painting, wall touch-ups, furniture repairs, door adjustments, carpet repairs, and basic plumbing workReplace light bulbs, copier toner, water filters, CO2 tanks, and other consumable suppliesMaintain office equipment and ensure shared spaces remain fully operational and presentableManage Vendors and Facility ProjectsCoordinate contractor repairs and maintenance for furnishings, flooring, doors, lighting, plumbing, electrical systems, and other building componentsReview completed work and ensure repairs meet company standardsSubmit and manage service requests through building management systems and coordinate with building engineersSupport Workplace ServicesSet up conference rooms, training spaces, and event areas for meetings and special eventsAssist with office relocations and internal movesPartner with Information Services to prepare workstations for new hires and departing team membersCommunicate proactively with team members regarding repairs, projects, and facility-related updatesMaintain Safety and SecurityMaintain Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and related supplies, including routine testingParticipate on the Emergency Preparedness TeamProvide backup support for building access and security systems, including badge and access managementMaintain organized storage areas and facilities inventoryWhat You Bring:Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum of 5 years of facilities, building maintenance, or workplace operations experience in a service-focused environmentKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBasic carpentry, painting, and plumbing skillsExperience performing minor repairs and preventative maintenanceStrong customer service mindset with the ability to support a wide range of internal clientsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations and measurementsPhysical RequirementsFrequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, and climb stairs or laddersLift and move objects weighing more than 30 poundsOperate maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies safelyOccasionally work evenings or weekends to support business needsHow Vivmark Supports You:We know that our teams are the beating heart of our success and we re committed to showing our appreciation.We offer:A competitive benefits package that supports your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and company holidays, and exclusive team member housing discounts.Additional Info:AvalonBay is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is committed to an inclusive and diverse work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
