Your Purpose & Day-To-Day Journey

Education and Experience:

An equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience:

  • Associate's Degree
  • Three (3) years of experience in the area of assignment.

Licenses and/or Certificates:

  • Depending on assignment:

  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.

  • Depending on position assignment… if assigned to work within the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office/Justice Center/Jail additional background checks will be required:

  • Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS).

  • FALCON Integrated Criminal History System.

Education & Credentials That Power This Role

The ideal candidate brings a strong working knowledge of departmental policies, plans, and procedures; modern office practices; and the operations of local government, including applicable County codes, ordinances, and federal, state, and local administrative regulations. This role requires proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other job-related software, as well as familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. The Facilities Senior Projects Coordinator demonstrates excellent analytical and research capabilities, strong business writing skills, and polished verbal communication abilities, including public speaking. Success in this position depends on the ability to prioritize and organize work effectively, meet deadlines, maintain accurate records and reports, and develop clear, persuasive proposals, reports, correspondence, and procedural documentation.

Equally important are strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment. The candidate must be able to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and established practices with discretion while using tact and resourcefulness to resolve new or complex challenges. This position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively, establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, service providers, employees, and the public, and provide internal and external guidance and customer assistance through all forms of communication. Proficiency in the use of standard office equipment and computer systems for data entry, word processing, and related functions is essential, as is the ability to develop and deliver training materials for diverse audiences, operate a motor vehicle, and consistently represent the department with professionalism and confidence.
