    We have an opportunity for a Facilities Project Manager to join our team! This position is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of facilities operations across McNICHOLS 20 locations nationwide. This role ensures all facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner while supporting business growth through expansion, renovation, and capital improvement projects. The Facilities Project Manager serves as the subject matter expert for equipment, building systems, maintenance programs, vendor management, and technical facility operations. 
     
    The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge of commercial and industrial facilities who is able to oversee large-scale projects successfully, including renovation projects or build-out of new leased warehouse spaces. 
     
    Responsibilities 
    • Oversee facilities management requests and vendor relationships across 20 locations, with the support of an administrative team.  
    • Serve as the technical resource for facility-related decisions to support routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities. 
    • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, safety, and compliance with company standards or regulatory requirements. 
    • Provide guidance and technical support for projects involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, fire protection, security systems, lighting, dock equipment and production machinery. 
    • Maintain facility drawings, floor plans, and equipment documentation. 
    • Lead facility expansion, renovation, relocation, and construction projects from concept through completion. Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and contractor specifications. 
    • Develop and maintain relationships with national and local service providers by negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and reviewing cost to achieve optimal value. 
    • Serve a key member of the Safety Committee and directly oversee safety equipment, corrective actions, and projects to maintain a safe working environment. 
    • Manage facilities budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings.  
    • Partner with senior leaders to establish and maintain emergency response procedures and business continuity plans related to facility operations. 
    Qualifications 
    • 5+ years of facilities project management experience in multi-site industrial, warehouse, or commercial facilities. 
    • Proven experience leading facility expansion, renovation, or construction projects. 
    • Strong vendor and contractor management experience. 
    • Experience managing capital and operating budgets. 
    • Strong understanding of warehouse equipment and building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and security systems. 
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. 
    • Experience with facility management software. 
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, building codes, and facility compliance requirements. 
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools. 
    • Ability to travel frequently between locations and serve as a hands-on technical resource as needed.
