Job Summary
Seeking a Facilities Validation/Compliance Engineer with 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or facilities environment. The role focuses heavily on technical documentation, commissioning reports, facilities validation protocols, nonconformance investigations, and root cause analysis. The engineer will work closely with the Facility Manager to inspect site operations, identify compliance gaps, investigate facility-related issues, and implement improvement initiatives involving HVAC, pest control, equipment, and other building systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Review facility procedures, protocols, SOPs, and controlled documentation for proper execution and compliance.
- Develop and write commissioning reports, validation protocols, investigation reports, and technical documentation.
- Conduct facility inspections and evaluate building-related practices and processes.
- Investigate nonconformances and non-compliance issues, including HVAC controls, pest control, equipment, and other site-specific facility systems.
- Perform root cause analysis and document investigation findings and corrective actions.
- Partner with the Facility Manager to implement process improvements and resolve identified gaps.
- Maintain controlled documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, gap analyses, control plans, and risk-management documentation.
- Support verification and validation activities and participate in peer reviews.
- Evaluate potential impacts of proposed solutions on related facility systems and processes.
- Ensure facility protocols and documentation remain accurate, current, and properly executed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering - any engineering discipline considered.
- 3+ years of engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing facilities environment.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Experience with root cause analysis, investigations, and nonconformance resolution.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience reviewing and executing SOPs, protocols, and controlled documentation.
- Knowledge of facility/building systems, preferably including HVAC and related controls.
- Exposure to equipment, commissioning, validation, or facility engineering is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and execution capabilities.
