Description

The Northwood School District is seeking a committed and service-oriented Facilities Operations Lead to help manage district building and grounds. This role will work collaboratively to oversee the daily operations of the district's single building and site. The District currently has a crew of 3 other custodial staff including additional student workers and temporary help during the summer months. This position will work with another Lead to help with daily custodial duties and oversee systems such as heating and cooling, boiler maintenance, safety inspections, small systems operators, etc. This position will assist the District with related purchasing and vendor management and the Superintendent with obtaining necessary bids/quotes and requests for proposals.

This position reports directly to the Superintendent, with a starting rate at $18.80 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefit package including health insurance, dental insurance, Wisconsin Retirement System, life insurance, paid vacation, LTD, and health retirement account. Qualifications

  • Proven success managing a team of employees and contractors.
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and long-term facilities planning.
  • Experience with rapid response to facility emergencies or related training.
  • At least one year in custodial/maintenance or related fields. Example: facilities management, electrical, plumbing, building construction, HVAC, and custodial maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience with Energy Management systems and integrated computerized systems.
  • Must demonstrate an average knowledge of building safety, mechanical systems, HVAC, small systems operation and facilities disciplines.
  • Must demonstrate an above-average knowledge of building operating systems.
  • CDL with passenger endorsement to operate school buses. The district will help with procurement but needs to be completed within 6 months of hire.
  • Must obtain Small Water System (OTM/NN) certification through the State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
  • Complete Asbestos Operation & Maintenance certification to become district A.H.E.R.A coordinator.
