Facilities Mgmnt Specialist-Facilities Engineering

Serves as a liaison between the department office and other departments through The MetroHealth System and/or outside visitors (i.e., vendors, contractors, inspectors, and other authorities having jurisdiction). Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Summary:

Coordinates/processes the administrative workload for the Facilities Management department and their associated projects. Serves as a liaison between the department office and other departments through The MetroHealth System and/or outside visitors (i.e., vendors, contractors, inspectors, and other authorities having jurisdiction). Performs timekeeping and payroll duties for the department. Processes work orders, purchase orders, and repair orders through various computerized systems. Processes/maintains a diverse abundance of internal/external documents specifically related to compliance requirements and the unique operation of the Facilities Management Department. Executes job responsibilities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with minimal supervision. Ensures that all actions and documents maintain the department's professional image. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required:

• HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• 4 years of office experience in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to keep pace.
• Working knowledge of basic office equipment (i.e. a personal computer, printer, etc.).
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as email.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
• Ability to maintain complete confidentiality.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Ability to execute work task in a detail-oriented and accurate manner.

Preferred:

• Post-high school training and/or education in office administration.
• Familiarity with facilities-related terminologies.
• Knowledge of and experience with other Microsoft software applications (i.e., Access, Publisher, and PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with time keep software programs, ideally Kronos.

Physical Requirements:

• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
• May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
• May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
• Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
• Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
