The Facilities Manager supports Samson Sky operations bypromoting a respectful and collaborative workplace; ensuring safe, clean,orderly, and operational facilities; planning and coordinating preventivemaintenance, repairs, vendors, equipment support, inventory, and facilityimprovement projects; and providing hands-on assistance when needed. Theposition requires a can-do mindset, adaptability, leadership by example,accurate documentation, practical problem solving, and consistent attention tosafety, reliability, cleanliness, and work quality.
• Participate in and reinforce a culture of respect forothers, promote a collaborative environment, and lead by example.
• Ensure facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, orderly,and operational condition in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Embrace changing priorities and approach facility needswith a can-do, solutions-focused mindset.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate facility inspections,preventive maintenance, repairs, corrective work, and improvement projectsbased on safety, operational needs, and the project plan.
• Monitor facility conditions and ensure identified safety,maintenance, cleanliness, and operational deficiencies are addressed andcommunicated to affected personnel.
• Manage facility maintenance plans, schedules, work orders,service histories, inspection records, equipment logs, and other requireddocumentation.
• Coordinate qualified vendors and service providers forinspections, repairs, installations, and infrastructure work; provide facilityaccess and on-site support as needed.
• Manage maintenance tools, spare parts, consumables, andinventory; identify replenishment needs and coordinate procurement or vendorsupport.
• Coordinate the setup, maintenance, and safe availability ofshop-support equipment, facility utilities, workspaces, and equipment stagingneeded for prototype builds and R&D testing.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and repair support formechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, lighting, and basic electrical systems withinthe manager’s training and authorization.
• Direct or coordinate facilities personnel, shop personnel,vendors, and contractors assigned to facility tasks and projects, whilepromoting timely completion, accurate documentation, and accountability.
Clean, orderly, safe, and operational facilitiesmaintained with maximum clean/up time and minimum dirty/down time, supported bycompleted facility tasks and accurate records.
• Percentage of facility “clean/up time” compared with“dirty/down time.”
• Percentage of facilities tasks and improvement projectscompleted on time measured against the project plan.
• Completion and accuracy of required inspection,maintenance, equipment, vendor, and project records.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshootingskills.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical,pneumatic, mechanical, and general building systems.
• Ability to evaluate facility needs, coordinate qualifiedservice providers, and follow work through to completion.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, equipmentdocumentation, blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
• Strong organization, communication, vendor coordination,recordkeeping, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate the work ofothers, and manage changing priorities in a dynamic R&D environment.
• Ability to perform physical work, lift reasonable weight,climb ladders, and work comfortably at heights when required.
• Computer literacy, valid driver’s license, and reliabletransportation.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary and cross-functionalprojects and/or teams.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Gantt charts,and/or Kanban boards.
• Technical mindset with the ability to understand, organize,and support requirements compliance.
• Experience managing or coordinating facilities inaerospace, automotive, manufacturing, fabrication, or R&D environments.
• Electrical or HVAC knowledge.
