    Job Summary

    The Facility Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the home while the Administrator is not on site. The position includes:
    • Managing the home's daily operations. 
    • Program planning.
    • Handling grievances. 
    • Supervising Direct Care Staff. 
    • Coordinating transportation. 
    • Performing other duties necessary for the operation of the facility during the Administrator's absence.

    A Facility Manager must:
    • Hold a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. 
    • Have at least two years of full-time experience working with youth (or equivalent education/experience approved by CDSS), or
    • Have two years of experience as a staff member in an STRTP performing Facility Manager duties. 
    • Pass Community Care Licensing (CCL), DOJ, and FBI background clearances. 
    • Possess a valid California driver's license and be insurable under the agency's insurance policy.
    • Support the Administrator in the day-to-day operation of the assigned facility. 
    • Apply the Reasonable and Prudent Parent Standard when making decisions about youth participation in age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate activities whenever the Administrator is not present. 
    • Train, support, guide, and direct Direct Care Staff in collaboration with the Administrator to ensure appropriate care and supervision of youth. 
    • Directly supervise youth as assigned. 
    • Oversee the daily schedule of activities. 
    • Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures by all Direct Care Staff assigned to the facility. 
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment. 
    • Report to the Administrator and recommend continuous quality improvement measures. 
    • Perform other duties assigned by the Administrator
