Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Facilities Manager on behalf of our client, a mission-driven organization in Houston, Texas. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for a hands-on facilities professional with strong project management, vendor coordination, and team leadership experience to oversee day-to-day building operations and drive improvements across facilities systems and processes!

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee day-to-day facilities, maintenance, and custodial operations.
• Manage service requests and maintenance tickets, ensuring issues are addressed efficiently and appropriately.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance involving HVAC, electrical, drainage, and general building systems.
• Manage facilities-related projects from planning through completion.
• Solicit, review, and compare vendor and contractor bids to support cost-effective decision-making.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors and verify that completed work meets established expectations and quality standards.
• Navigate city processes, permitting requirements, and inspections related to facilities projects.
• Develop, implement, and improve facilities systems, procedures, and operational processes.
• Supervise and support a team of approximately five facilities, maintenance, and custodial employees.
• Monitor project timelines, priorities, and deliverables while maintaining strong communication with leadership and stakeholders.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other Microsoft Office tools for tracking, reporting, and facilities-related documentation.

What You Bring

• Approximately 2-5 years of successful facilities, building operations, maintenance management, or related experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with city permitting, inspections, and related municipal processes.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple facilities initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience creating and implementing systems and processes that improve operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of building maintenance needs, including HVAC, electrical, drainage, and general repairs.
• Experience obtaining vendor bids, coordinating contractors, and evaluating the quality of completed work.
• Previous experience supervising facilities, maintenance, custodial, or similar employees.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Houston and accommodate an early-morning work schedule.

Compensation

This direct-hire opportunity offers a salary range of $75,000-$85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
