Location: Greensboro, NC

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension and conversion to permanent)
  • Pay Rate: $60.00 $70.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Summary

As a Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium sized buildings. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
  • Conduct team meetings, meet with clients, walk the site, prepare reports, audit SLAs and KPIs, and ensure compliance.

Preferred Skills

  • Mechanical experience
  • Experience working in a lab or R&D space
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention
  • Facility Management certification

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; in lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
  • Valid driver's license required

Required Experience

  • 8 10 years of relevant experience

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Multi-use facility office space and lab space
  • Safety glasses and gloves required in lab spaces (provided by the client)
  • Client-facing role
  • Uniform will be provided
  • Candidate will have 5 direct reports
  • Background package: safety-specific with drug screen required
  • Overtime may be required
