About the Role:

As a Facility Manager, you will manage a team responsible for overseeing day-to-day facilities operations and maintenance for one or more commercial buildings. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area, focusing on maximizing building uptime, mitigating operational risk, and providing strategic support regarding commercial HVAC systems, power distribution, and building lifecycle plans.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide formal supervision to facilities maintenance employees.
  • Monitor technical training and professional development programs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and standard operations coaching.
  • Oversee recruiting for skilled commercial facilities technicians.
  • Schedule and manage shift activities.
  • Establish work schedules and cross-training plans.
  • Set and track department and SLA deadlines.
  • Mentor and coach onsite maintenance staff as needed.
  • Coordinate building systems maintenance with specialized external contractors.
  • Maintain client relationships regarding facility uptime and operational incidents.
  • Manage capital projects, operational budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections following corporate and regulatory safety standards.
  • Suggest operational efficiencies for overall building energy usage.
  • Manage environmental health, safety, and emergency operating procedures.
  • Oversee standard vendor relationships and invoicing procedures.
  • Review contractor quotes for specialized parts and maintenance labor.
  • Conduct training on maintenance workflows, standard operating procedures, and safety.
  • Lead by example consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Influence parties to reach risk management and operational agreements.
  • Integrate facilities discipline with broader corporate real estate objectives.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and building monitoring issues.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Equivalent experience in commercial facility operations will be considered.
  • Valid driver's license required - MVR will be conducted.
  • Facility Management or standard building engineering certification preferred.
  • Experience in staffing, training, and retaining technical facilities personnel.
  • Ability to handle sensitive operational data and incident report communication.
  • Leadership skills to motivate teams toward zero-downtime operational goals.
  • Deep knowledge of large-scale backup power systems, commercial chillers, and building automation systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Facility Manager position is $92,000 annually and the maximum salary is $131,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
