    FACILITIES MANAGER

    Job Summary: This position is responsible for managing the physical facilities and related services including supplies; maintenance; housekeeping; security; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); and grounds maintenance. The position also has primary responsibility of controlling the buying decisions and setting policies for managing the facility's supply chain and procurement of services.

    Primary Job Responsibilities/Tasks may include, but not limited to:

    • Facilities

    • Oversees continued development of office and sites (exteriors and interiors), building equipment, and grounds.
    • Monitors current inventory level of supplies and contacts appropriate vendors to secure bids and place orders. Confirms delivery, quality, and quantity of orders.

    • Coordinates and schedules maintenance and cleaning activities to ensure facilities are clean, safe, sanitary, and conducive to delivery of quality patient care.

    • Manages, coordinates, and monitors all maintenance contracts with outside vendors.

    • Oversees performance and maintains records of cyclical maintenance projects.

    • Coordinates and oversees building projects, including directing repair, construction, and renovation.

    • Oversees building security and safety. Implements procedures for handling, storing, safekeeping, and destruction of hazardous materials.

    • Assists with development and implementation of disaster plan.

    • Assists with training staff in use of fire extinguishers and evacuation procedures.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Materials and Services Management

    • Builds relationships with supply and service vendors and lead contract negotiations for fair pricing.
    • Implements measures to reduce supply and service costs within budget constraints.

    • Manage central supply inventories, monitoring utilization, minimizing inventory while maintaining zero out of stock incidents, maintain accurate department charging and insure minimal leakage.

    • Reviewing Clinic department inventories to insure lean management.

    • Oversee the distribution of supplies.

    • Identify service improvement and saving opportunities analyzing purchase histories and materials and services utilization patterns.

    • Place orders and process payments in a timely fashion to avoid any late payment fees.

    • Address vendor complaints.

    Requirements:

    • Education and Certifications:

    • High school diploma. Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.

    • Materials & Resource Professional Certification preferred.

    • Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in facilities management and materials management.

    • Experience in health care organization preferred.

    • Strong organizational and both verbal and written communication skills.

    • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.

    • Physical Requirements:

    • Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.

    • Must be able to lift and support weight of 75 pounds.

    • Ability to concentrate on details.

    • Use of computer for long periods of time.
