About the Role
This role is responsible for overseeing the facilities management operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all regulations. The position plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and functionality of the workplace, contributing significantly to the organization's overall success.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit a professional attitude that aligns with workplace principles to maintain a positive environment.
- Promote teamwork and actively participate in team activities.
- Identify and support employee growth and training opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and quality standards.
- Enforce safety rules and maintain a healthful workplace.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EEOC, FLSA regulations and prevent discrimination.
- Manage the Facilities Engineering Department to achieve high customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership to set departmental goals, objectives, and performance metrics.
- Manage facilities engineering equipment and issues.
- Develop and maintain departmental budgets.
- Manage capital equipment installations with approval from relevant managers.
- Develop relationships with suppliers and manage outsourced facility maintenance activities.
- Ensure contractor compliance with local, state, federal, OSHA, NFPA, EPA guidelines.
- Participate in continuous improvement and strategic planning processes.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or twelve years of related experience.
- Minimum five years of technical experience in painting automotive exterior decorative plastics.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and people skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Walk up and down stairs frequently.
- Lift up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Work near alcohols, solvents, paints, or plastic sanding dust.
- Work below the knees and above the shoulders.
- Good vision and color distinction required, with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to hear alarms with or without hearing aids.
