- Lovelace Westside Hospital provides care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio Rancho, including a 24-hour emergency department and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical capabilities such as Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), bariatric, and orthopedic service lines.
Responsibilities:
The Facilities Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for facility maintenance and support services, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for patients, visitors, and team members. This role oversees daily facility operations, capital projects, vendor relationships, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and continuous process improvements while leading a high-performing team focused on operational excellence.
- Lead the daily operations of facility maintenance, building systems, and support services across assigned locations.
- Supervise, coach, and develop facilities team members while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and service excellence.
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure.
- Oversee facility construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects from planning through completion.
- Develop and manage operating and capital budgets while identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and facility-related purchases.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
- Partner with leaders across the organization to resolve facility-related issues, support strategic initiatives, and improve the overall care environment.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices that enhance facility operations, reliability, and customer service.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study (education may be substituted for relevant experience)
- Three (3) years of related experience
- One (1) year of supervisory experience
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Boiler Operator license and/or at least one other contractor's or journeyman's license
