Pay: $38.75–$57.69 per hour
Hours: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (depending on business needs)

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician IV – Lead, you'll support critical facility infrastructure and manufacturing operations. You’ll work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that complex systems run smoothly, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and hands-on expertise. This role is perfect for a skilled technician who thrives on problem-solving, project ownership, and team development. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with deionized water systems, filtration, purification, and utilities within regulated environments such as Life Sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotech, or medical device manufacturing.

What You'll Do
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician IV – Lead, you will be responsible for:
  • Serving as a technical lead and subject matter expert for facility maintenance activities.
  • Providing guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to maintenance technicians.
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing deionized (DI) water generation, purification, and filtration systems to ensure reliable operation and high water quality.
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment such as HVAC systems, steam boilers, water systems, and electrical components.
  • Reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Diagnosing issues with pumps, valves, piping, pressure vessels, filters, and related equipment.
  • Documenting maintenance activities and equipment logs in CMMS systems, ensuring compliance with GMP or other regulated standards.
  • Supporting manufacturing operations by minimizing downtime and ensuring facility systems are operational.
  • Participating in facility improvement projects, contractor coordination, and system upgrades.
  • Overseeing spare parts inventory, equipment commissioning, and support for system asset retirement.
  • Taking part in the on-call rotation (1 week every 5 weeks) to respond to after-hours emergencies and critical utility alarms.


What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 years of industrial facilities maintenance experience, or an Associate degree with 5+ years of related experience.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining deionized water generation, purification, and filtration systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
  • Experience using CMMS for maintenance documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor others.

Location & Schedule:
This position is on-site in Irvine, CA, and offers a full-time schedule Monday through Friday, with work hours starting at either 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM depending on business needs. The role includes a one-week on-call rotation every five weeks for emergency response outside of normal hours.
