If you’re the kind of person who notices when something isn’t working quite right and knows how to figure out why, this could be a great fit. We’re looking for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team and help keep our manufacturing facility safe, reliable, and ready for production. This is a hands-on role with a primary focus on building systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure. You’ll work with everything from HVAC, compressed air, lighting, and plumbing to overhead doors, electrical systems, dust collection, and general facility needs. No two days will look exactly the same. You’ll be part of an established maintenance team, working together to troubleshoot problems, coordinate repairs, tackle preventive maintenance, and find ways to make our facility even better. What You’ll Do - Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds.
- Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, lighting, plumbing, overhead doors, and dust collection systems within your training and authorization.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and determine the best path to repair.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and identify potential maintenance or safety concerns before they become bigger problems.
- Respond to facility maintenance needs and utility disruptions to help keep operations running smoothly.
- Coordinate specialized repairs with contractors, vendors, and other qualified team members when needed.
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
- Help maintain company grounds and keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Partner with production supervisors, operators, engineers, vendors, and fellow maintenance team members to coordinate priorities.
- Support production equipment, cranes, and material handling systems when needed and within your training and authorization.
- Look for opportunities to improve facility reliability, utility efficiency, safety, and overall plant performance.
What We’re Looking For You don’t need to know everything, but you should be comfortable troubleshooting, working independently, and figuring things out. Ideally, you’ll bring: - 3+ years of facilities or industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical facility systems.
- Working knowledge of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, lighting, and electrical distribution.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience safely using hand and power tools, forklifts, lifts, and other maintenance equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs while working both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Even Better If You Have - Technical school, trade school, or a facilities/industrial maintenance certification.
- Welding, fabrication, or basic machining experience.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience around sheet metal fabrication or production equipment.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements and industrial safety practices.
- Forklift, aerial lift, lockout/tagout (LOTO), or electrical safety training/certifications.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
Why Join Our Maintenance Team? This isn’t a role where you’ll spend every day working on the same piece of equipment. You’ll have the opportunity to work across a variety of facility systems, utilities, infrastructure, and maintenance projects, giving you the chance to use the skills you already have while continuing to expand your knowledge. You’ll also have something that’s important in a facilities role: visibility and impact. The work you do directly affects the safety of the workplace, the reliability of the facility, and the ability of our production teams to do their jobs. If you enjoy troubleshooting, fixing things the right way, and being part of the team people count on to keep a facility running, we’d like to hear from you.
