Our client is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, installation, and continuous improvement of their manufacturing equipment and facility. Position Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of the production equipment and facility systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, assist with installations and upgrades, and help ensure compliance with food safety and SQF standards. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Job Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Diagnose, repair, and refurbish machinery and equipment.
- Assist with machine upgrades and new equipment installations.
- Perform facility maintenance, seasonal changeovers, and general building upkeep.
- Operate hand tools and shop equipment, including lathes, mills, and drill presses.
- Help maintain inventories of maintenance supplies, electrical components, plumbing materials, HVAC parts, and hardware.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Support and maintain compliance with Food Safety and SQF programs.
- Conduct routine facility inspections to ensure regulatory and company compliance.
- Assist with sanitation, pest control, food defense, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Respond appropriately to spills, glass breakage, and other food safety incidents.
- Complete cleaning tasks according to the Master Cleaning Schedule.
Documentation & Team Support
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation daily.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members across departments.
- Support production operations and provide equipment coverage as needed.
- Assist with machine setup and development of setup technicians.
Safety First
- Follow all company policies, GMP requirements, SQF standards, and OSHA regulations.
- Promote a safe work environment through proper maintenance practices and procedures.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or coursework in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is a plus.
- Preferred: 2-5 years of maintenance or mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday.
- Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely use lifting devices and equipment for heavier materials.
- Visual abilities including close vision, depth perception, color recognition, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
This position works within a manufacturing facility that is clean, well-lit, and well-ventilated. Team members may be exposed to:
