Now hiring for a Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: El Cajon, CA

Pay Rate: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule: 5 AM - 1:30 PM

Job Duties

  • Maintain and perform intermediate repairs on critical facility systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment).
  • Conduct preventative maintenance schedules and respond to active facility work orders.
  • Assist in the installation, relocation, or modification of industrial manufacturing equipment.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, or equipment documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience; hands-on welding experience (MIG, TIG, or Stick) and basic metal fabrication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment.

What You Will Do

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, replace worn components, document completed work, and work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards.
