Overview

We are seeking a motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the daily operation, maintenance, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of our facility. This position combines routine custodial responsibilities with hands-on building maintenance tasks. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a general maintenance background who are eager to expand their skills and develop into a fully qualified Facilities Maintenance Technician.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day.

Location: Near S. Loop E and Martin Luther King Blvd.

Responsibilities

Perform routine custodial duties, including:
- Cleaning and maintaining offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
- Emptying trash and recycling containers
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting facility spaces
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment
Assist with building maintenance and repair activities, including:
- Basic carpentry repairs
- Plumbing maintenance and troubleshooting
- HVAC system support and preventative maintenance
- Electrical repairs and equipment maintenance
- General facility inspections and upkeep
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
Identify and report facility issues that require repair or replacement
Follow safety procedures and company policies
Support special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

General knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices
Basic understanding of one or more trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC
Ability to use hand and power tools safely
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
