    Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

    Location: Sumter, SC
    Department: Maintenance
    Reports To: Maintenance Manager
    Status: Exempt


    Position Overview

    The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of facility systems and infrastructure. This role leads maintenance staff, oversees daily operations, and supports preventive maintenance programs to maintain building systems and support continuous operations.


    Key Responsibilities

    Team Leadership

    • Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors

    • Assign and prioritize daily work orders

    • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback

    • Promote a safe work environment and enforce safety policies

    Maintenance Operations

    • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

    • Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues and ensure timely resolution

    • Support uptime and reliability of building systems

    • Conduct routine inspections to identify and prevent issues

    Facilities Management

    • Maintain buildings and grounds to ensure safe and efficient operation

    • Coordinate facility repairs, upgrades, and improvement projects

    • Manage vendors and contracted services

    Compliance & Safety

    • Ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations

    • Maintain maintenance and safety documentation

    • Support audits, inspections, and incident investigations

    Budget & Inventory

    • Assist with maintenance budgeting and cost control

    • Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and spare parts

    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs


    Qualifications

    Required:

    • High school diploma or GED

    • 5+ years of maintenance experience in facilities or manufacturing

    • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

    • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills

    Preferred:

    • Associate’s or technical degree

    • 2+ years of supervisory experience

    • Experience with CMMS systems

    • Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation

    • Travel: As needed

    • Language: English required

    • Supervisory: Yes (maintenance team)
