Description

Summary:

  • Shift: Monday through Friday 9am-6pm

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper equipment upkeep, maintenance, and troubleshooting to meet production requirements while maintaining building needs.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and managers on equipment breakdown repairs and upgrade existing equipment with approval from the Director of Operations.
  • Prioritize and schedule specific equipment repairs.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance programs.
  • Assist department supervisors in reconstructing, moving, and installing new equipment according to plan.
  • Address electrical issues from 24VDC control to 480VAC 3 ph industrial.
  • Address safety issues, replace burnt lights, check emergency lighting, and manage lockout/tagout and confined space programs.
  • Maintain and upkeep grounds outside the building, including snow and ice removal as needed.
  • Perform facility maintenance including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Keep stock of routine repair parts and shop supplies.
  • Monitor hazardous waste for removal and maintain the chemical storage area.
  • Clean up chemical spills.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Must have electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with coursework in skilled crafts or trades training.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on individual capable of working in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using mechanical tools, electrical test equipment, measuring instruments, and reading blueprints.
  • Must have own mechanic's tools.
  • May require lifting of up to 100lbs.
