    Schedule: Flexible; Mornings and Evening Shifts

    Job Type: Full- Time

    Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 hourly

    Classification: Non-Exempt

    As an Engineer I, you will help ensure the hotel remains safe, comfortable, and fully operational for our guests and team members by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and general engineering support throughout the property.

     

    What You'll Do

    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
    • Respond promptly and professionally to guest and departmental maintenance requests.
    • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.
    • Complete preventative maintenance assignments according to established schedules and hotel standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and building systems to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
    • Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities.
    • Support the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of equipment for meetings, events, and special functions.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and local building codes.
    • Assist with emergency response situations, including power outages, water leaks, equipment malfunctions, and guest-related maintenance concerns.
    • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
    • Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
    • Promote energy conservation and sustainability initiatives by identifying and reporting inefficiencies in building systems.

     

    Physical Environment

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
    • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift more with assistance.
    • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated work areas safely.
    • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and twisting.
    • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
    • Manual dexterity required to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely.
    • Ability to hear, see, and communicate effectively to identify maintenance issues and respond to emergencies.
    • Capable of working in confined spaces and around mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment.
    • Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations and work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed.
