Job Title : Facilities Engineer
Location: North Chicago, IL
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Experience: 3+ years
Pay:$35-40/HR

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Facilities Engineer to support commissioning, qualification, troubleshooting, and operation of facility systems in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Commission and qualify facility equipment and systems.
• Perform field testing of VFDs, fans, control valves, VAVs, AHUs, boilers, and chillers.
• Conduct point-to-point checks and verify wiring, control signals, valves, and equipment functionality.
• Troubleshoot existing facility/HVAC equipment and support new system startups.
• Make basic programming and control adjustments using Siemens Desigo/Insight.
• Verify water flow, strainers, control valves, and mechanical system operation.
• Complete commissioning and qualification documentation.
• Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Controls teams to resolve issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of facilities, HVAC, maintenance, commissioning, or controls experience.
• Hands-on experience with boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and VFDs.
• Knowledge of BAS/building automation and controls; Siemens experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical/control wiring and point-to-point checks.
• Strong maintenance and troubleshooting background.
• Comfortable working hands-on in the field.
