Overview:
We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to support engineering activities within a manufacturing environment in Milpitas, CA. This position will apply engineering principles to the design, modification, and development of facilities, equipment, machinery, and processes used in manufacturing. The Facilities Engineer will work closely with facilities and engineering teams to evaluate technical requirements, develop solutions, support projects, and improve existing manufacturing capabilities. Candidates with prior cleanroom experience and exposure to critical power systems are highly encouraged to apply.
Job Duties:
Research facility products, equipment specifications, and performance requirements to develop solutions that can be supported by existing manufacturing and processing capabilities.
Research engineering proposals, process requirements, and technical data related to industrial facilities, machinery, and equipment.
Evaluate the feasibility of designing new facility equipment or modifying existing equipment based on cost, available space, timelines, and technical requirements.
Provide technical information related to manufacturing and processing techniques, materials, equipment capabilities, and process limitations.
Collect and analyze facilities and engineering data to establish performance standards for new or modified equipment.
Design, modify, and develop facilities, equipment, machinery, and manufacturing processes.
Utilize computer-aided engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks.
Guide engineering projects and project teams through planning and implementation.
Research technical publications and industry developments to stay current with new technologies and engineering practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; other technical degrees or equivalent experience and training may be considered.
4–6+ years of related engineering experience.
Prior cleanroom experience a plus
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience designing, modifying, or developing manufacturing equipment, machinery, facilities, or processes.
Strong technical research, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and guide projects.
Critical power industry experience is preferred but not required.
