    Description

      My name is Shannon, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group.  We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­Facilities Director for a prominent client of ours.  This position is located in ­­Marlborough, MA. Details for the position are as follows:

      Our client is seeking a Director/Sr. Director, Facilities & Corporate Services to lead day-to-day property management and facility operations for a large pharmaceutical campus. This role will oversee facilities, workplace services, vendors, site operations, and corporate services while supporting laboratory and research operations.

      The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of senior-level facilities or site operations experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or medical device industry, with experience supporting laboratory environments.

      Key Responsibilities

      Lead day-to-day property management and facilities operations across a large corporate campus and additional satellite/shared office locations. Manage a team of employees and outsourced vendors supporting site operations. Oversee:
      • Janitorial services
      • Landscaping and snow removal
      • HVAC
      • Utilities
      • Security
      • Mailroom
      • Reception
      • Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)
      Support chemistry laboratory operations and collaborate with research scientists to address facility and operational needs.

      Required Qualifications

       

      • Manage café and catering operations at the Marlborough site.
      • Partner with Meeting Planning to support onsite meetings and events.
      • Collaborate with IT to support onsite technology needs and information security requirements.
      • Triage facility and operational issues, communicate effectively, and ensure timely resolution.
      • Work independently with minimal management oversight while responding to changing site needs.
      • Be available to support occasional after-hours emergencies, repairs, and break/fix issues.
      • Support real estate portfolio management, site buildouts, decommissioning, and related operations.
      • Lead facility and site-related projects and manage capital deployment.
      • Manage budgets, vendors, and operational expenditures.
      • 10+ years of relevant Facilities, Site Operations, Property Management, or Corporate Services experience.
      • Senior management experience, preferably at the Director or Senior Director level.
      • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or medical device industry.
      • Experience supporting laboratory environments, preferably chemistry or research labs.
      • Strong experience managing facilities operations, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
      • Demonstrated project management and budget management experience.
      • Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage competing priorities.
      • Strong communication, problem-solving, and vendor-management skills.
      • Ability to work onsite in Marlborough, MA.
