Essential Responsibilities & Duties Supervises staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensures that employees follow policies and procedures; maintains a healthy and safe working environment; makes hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. Directs and oversees continuous and reliable facilities operations among multiple service areas which includes planning, coordinating, administering, integrating, and evaluating programs, projects, processes, procedures, systems, standards, and/or service offerings. Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations, codes, and/or standards; coordinates activities between multiple service areas; works to integrate and coordinate service areas. Identifies, responds to, and resolves issues and concerns related to facilities, transportation, custodial, events, and/or grounds maintenance issues including emergencies. Oversees and manages Field Station operations, maintenance and compliance. Directs and oversees project management and the execution of contracts, including scope, project development, negotiation, administration, review, acceptance, advertising, and contract awards; reviews and approves payment applications; performs final inspections and approvals of completed projects. Develops and administers budget; prepares cost estimates for budget recommendations; submits justifications for budget items; monitors and controls expenditures; manages financial operations. Participates in/on a variety of meetings, committees, training sessions, conferences and/or other related groups in order to receive and conveys information and to establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships. Assists with the development of the facilities master plan to provide academic and administrative facilities that meet the goals and objectives of the College; assists in the planning and mitigation of campus hazard vulnerability plans. Develops construction plans for in-house and contracted projects; develops specifications, cost estimates, sketches, and drawings sufficient to provide direction to contract work forces or in-house staff for various facility projects throughout the College. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Required Training and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities, Construction Management, or related field, and five years of management experience in a Maintenance, Custodial, and/or Grounds function; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Preferred Training & Experience Licensing Requirements Valid Wyoming Driver's License with acceptable driving record Valid Wyoming Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and airbrakes endorsement or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire. Must be able to pass and maintain the federally mandated DOT physical as required for the CDL license with passenger and airbrakes endorsement.
