This position is responsible for general cleaning and janitorial duties, maintaining supply inventory, assisting with facility projects, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns to management. The employee may be exposed to machinery, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, chemicals, noise, temperature changes, and other physical hazards.

Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Facilities Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This position is responsible for general cleaning and janitorial duties, maintaining supply inventory, assisting with facility projects, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns to management.

The ideal candidate is dependable, works well independently, pays attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

• 
  Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility to ensure a safe working environment.
  
• 
  Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors.
  
• 
  Clean and sanitize work areas, surfaces, restrooms, and lunchrooms.
  
• 
  Replenish restroom, lunchroom, and janitorial supplies.
  
• 
  Monitor janitorial supply inventory and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
  
• 
  Complete daily janitorial checklists.
  
• 
  Report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to the Facilities Manager or Supervisor.
  
• 
  Notify management when major repairs or facility issues are identified.
  
• 
  Assist maintenance personnel with facility projects and preventative maintenance activities.
  
• 
  Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  
• 
  Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  
• 
  Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  
• 
  Perform other facility-related duties and special assignments as directed.
  

Qualifications

• 
  High school diploma or equivalent required.
  
• 
  Previous custodial, janitorial, facilities, or cleaning experience preferred.
  
• 
  Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
  
• 
  Strong attention to detail.
  
• 
  Good time-management and organizational skills.
  
• 
  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  
• 
  Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  
• 
  Strong communication and customer service skills.
  
• 
  Dependable and safety-conscious.
  
• 
  Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts when needed.
  

Physical Requirements
This position requires standing and walking for most of the shift and may involve:

• 
  Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and lifting.
  
• 
  Frequent handling and grasping of materials and cleaning supplies.
  
• 
  Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  
• 
  Ability to push and pull materials and equipment.
  
• 
  Occasional climbing and crawling.
  
• 
  Ability to work on uneven or slippery surfaces.
  
• 
  Ability to work around machinery, chemicals, fumes, noise, and other manufacturing-related hazards.
  

Work Environment
This position works in an industrial manufacturing environment supporting the production and assembly of medical devices. The employee may be exposed to machinery, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, chemicals, noise, temperature changes, and other physical hazards. Appropriate PPE will be provided and must be worn as required.

Hours: 5:30 AM–3:30 PM
