Job Description:
REQUIREMENTS:  Facilities Compliance Specialist
  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Typically requires four (4) years of experience within a full-service Facility Management environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Regulatory Expertise: Demonstrated working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, FCC, and local building/safety codes.
  • Proven experience operating within blended environments, including corporate offices, manufacturing plants, and warehouse settings.
  • Advanced expertise in MS Office Suite, with a specific emphasis on Excel for data tracking and analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships with subject matter experts, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.
JOB DESCRIPTION:  Facilities Compliance Specialist
Our client is seeking a Facilities Compliance Specialist to join our team in York, Pennsylvania. In this critical role, you will serve as a primary technical advisor for facilities compliance, ensuring all operations align with regulatory agency mandates, internal corporate policies, and rigorous safety standards. Reporting to the Facilities Compliance Manager, you will act as a strategic resource for Facilities Managers to mitigate operational risk and ensure a safe, compliant working environment. Your expertise will be pivotal in managing OSHA and local code requirements, overseeing Safe Work Permits, conducting hazard identifications, and implementing robust operational controls and maintenance compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:  Facilities Compliance Specialist
  • Partner with site Facilities Managers to review upcoming projects, conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify and control potential hazards before execution.
  • Evaluate ongoing work conditions and site performance through systematic inspections and audits; collaborate with leadership to implement corrective actions and follow-up measures.
  • Coordinate with the Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) department to monitor active operations and proactively reduce employee risk.
  • Compliance & Technical Execution
  • Lead and support Regulatory Inspection, Permits, and Testing (RIPT) activities, including the scheduling, planning, and procurement of necessary resources for Work Orders and Preventative Maintenance tasks.
  • Establish and maintain frameworks for risk assessment and hazard analysis, providing the necessary training to ensure consistent application across facilities work processes.
  • Execute and maintain critical safety documentation, including relevant work permits and regulatory assessments.
  • Manage site safety data and performance metrics via online management systems; develop high-impact presentations for leadership review.
  • Coach employees and external contractors on safety standards to ensure total compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Support leadership in fostering a collaborative culture of safety and behavioral excellence.
