Overview:

R&P is looking for a skilled professional to join our team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Facilities and Space Management professional ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. The Facilities and Space Manager will provide strategic and programmatic analysis, with a primary focus on facilities and space management. This role supports planning, coordination, and optimization of workspace utilization to align with organizational priorities, mission requirements, and evolving personnel needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Support space utilization analysis and provide recommendations to optimize workspace allocation and efficiency within the existing space, layout, and floorplans.
  • Support development and execution of facilities and space management plans, including short- and long-term strategies to support the reorganization and consolidation of stakeholder organizations.
  • Support coordination with stakeholders to capture requirements for office space, cubicles, shared environments, and special use areas.
  • Develop briefings, reports, and decision support materials for leadership on facilities related topics.
  • Assist in planning moves, reconfigurations, and space transitions within the building.
  • Ensure alignment with applicable policies, standards, and guidance related to facilities and space management.
  • Identify risks, constraints, and dependencies related to space and facilities, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support cross-functional coordination between program offices, facilities teams, and external partners as needed.
Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in program analysis, strategic planning, or facilities/space management.

  • Self-starter with strong ability to work independently on tight timelines.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to synthesize data into clear recommendations and executive level briefings.

  • Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Familiarity with DoW government facilities and space management processes.
  • Experience with space management tools or systems (e.g. Archibus, CAD, space tracking software).
  • Knowledge of workplace planning, utilization metrics, or facilities operations.

Salary:
