Facilities and Operations Manager Employment Status: Part-Time, Year-Round (52 Weeks) Schedule: Approximately 25-30 hours/week. Flexible schedule required, including occasional evenings and weekends. Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Facilities and Operations Manager to lead the maintenance and facilities management of our campus. This hands-on leadership position is responsible for ensuring our buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe, functional, and well maintained to support a positive environment for students, staff, and visitors. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred
- Broad knowledge of building maintenance trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
- Previous experience in custodial, maintenance, or facilities management preferred
- Valid driver's license

Key Responsibilities Facilities Maintenance & Operations - Oversee day-to-day operations of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
- Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program
- Perform general repairs such as equipment, carpentry, roofing, insulation, and masonry
- Monitor and maintain interior and exterior building conditions, including cleanliness and structural integrity Conduct regular facility inspections and respond promptly to maintenance requests
- Oversee interior/exterior building work for contracted services Grounds & Equipment Management
- Manage groundskeeping, landscaping, and seasonal upkeep contracts
- Operate and maintain facility-related machinery and tools
- Coordinate materials handling, supply movement, and event setups as needed Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all facilities meet federal, state, and local safety codes and regulations
- Implement and enforce OSHA/PERRP safety standards and best practices
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs Administrative Duties
- Recommend and manage inventory of supplies, equipment, and tools
- Oversee work of vendors and contractors performing facility-related services
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and complete required reports and logs
- Conduct annual inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment Key Skills & Abilities
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to read and understand safety labels, maintenance instructions, and technical documentation
- Effective communication skills—both verbal and written
- Ability to operate and maintain power-driven equipment and machinery
- Physically capable of performing a variety of maintenance tasks
- Ability to work independently and lead by example
- Training in chemical safety and hazard communication preferred
- Ability to distinguish color-coded wiring for electrical work
