Facilities and Maintenance Specialist

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, organization, and taking ownership of keeping things in excellent working condition. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are locally owned and operated by independent, franchised Operators who invest in the future of their Team Members and give back to their communities.

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and hands-on Facilities and Maintenance Specialist to help us keep our restaurant, equipment, and facility operating at a high standard. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, organization, and taking ownership of keeping things in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on restaurant equipment and facility items.
• Identify maintenance concerns early and help prevent equipment failures and costly repairs.
• Perform minor repairs when appropriate and within the individual’s skill level.
• Maintain an organized parts, tools, and maintenance supply area.
• Track replacement parts and supplies and communicate when items need to be reordered.
• Assist with basic maintenance involving doors, fixtures, shelving, plumbing, equipment, furniture, and other facility needs.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and identify items needing attention.
• Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance and completed repairs.
• Coordinate with restaurant leadership when an outside vendor or professional technician is needed.
• Help ensure the restaurant remains clean, safe, functional, and well maintained for our Team Members and guests.

Accountability and Success Measures

• Preventative maintenance tasks completed on time and documented.
• Maintenance issues identified and addressed before they become larger problems whenever possible.
• Parts, tools, and maintenance supplies kept organized, labeled, and appropriately stocked.
• Replacement parts reordered before critical inventory is depleted.
• Repairs completed correctly, safely, and in a timely manner.
• Clear communication when a repair requires outside professional service.
• Recurring maintenance issues tracked and communicated to leadership.
• Facility and equipment maintained at a consistently high standard.
• Reduction in avoidable equipment downtime and emergency repair needs.
