At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.We are presently seeking aFabrication Technician who will perform various optical fabrication processes including but not limited to beveling milling blocking grinding polishing curve generation and inspectionmeasurements.Main responsibilitiesPerforms basic shaping process steps on simple to medium-difficult parts.Beveling - cup and straight lineBlocking - standard multiple parts on the same block wax blocking which includes the ability to choose the correct type of toolingEdging - standard edging tasks up to .001 toleranceMilling - standard milling tasksSawing - KLE cut-off type operationsGrinding - to include continuous and double-sidedMay assist with pouring the lapInspects and cleans partsBasic reading and comprehension of work instructions and prints for basic dimensionsMathematics - Using basic mathematics to calculate…..Measurement skills include calipers drop gauges micrometers comparators measuring microscope Z scope and spherometer.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.Basic Math skillsTeamwork - the ability to work effectively and contribute to a teamNo previous experience required but preferredBenefits start day 1 Medical Dental Vision 401K Paid Time Off Holiday Pay PAID MaternityPaternity leave Tuition Reimbursement Long-term and Short-term disability.Pay Range 21.00 - 26.00 per hour depending on experience.Our facility in Boulder Colorado has key functions in Research and Development Operations Production and other disciplines.
