Step into a Day in This Role
Sunrise in Las Vegas, NV: you walk the floor, check the schedule, and kick off a brief stand-up with your crew. Assignments are clear, priorities are set, and safety is front and center. As the day moves, you coach technicians, verify quality on in-process work, and step in to solve a tricky technical issue before it slows the line. Midday, you review stock levels, place orders to avoid shortages, and make sure every station has what it needs. By afternoon, you’re aligning with management on operational goals, reinforcing shop policies that keep the environment positive and productive, and capturing production metrics so leadership has a crisp picture of performance.
What You’ll Do
- Direct daily shop activities to maintain a smooth, efficient workflow.
- Lead, mentor, and train team members to elevate skills and performance.
- Validate quality and ensure strict adherence to safety standards and procedures.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and remove barriers to keep work moving.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies to prevent downtime.
- Uphold and enforce shop policies to support a respectful, positive workplace.
- Partner with management to shape and execute operational strategies.
- Compile and present reports on output, quality, and team performance.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
- Proven supervisory experience in a shop or manufacturing setting.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Sharp problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control best practices.
- Clear, effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
- Hands-on proficiency with shop tools and equipment.
