  • Project Dashboard & Reporting: Maintain a clear, simple dashboard tracking key project metrics, including upcoming deliverables, overdue tasks, production bottlenecks, procurement status, percent complete, labor hours vs. budget, change orders, and customer delivery timelines.
  • Team Coordination: Lead concise weekly project meetings with cross-functional shop, quality, and procurement teams to clear roadblocks and maintain schedule alignment.
  • Execution & Control: Monitor labor hours against budget, evaluate scope changes, process change orders, and serve as the primary liaison for customer inspection and delivery coordination.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8–10 years of hands-on industrial or steel fabrication shop experience.
  • Shop Operations Knowledge: Deep understanding of steel fabrication processes, welding standards, QA/QC workflows, coating/finishing protocols, and shop floor logistics. Ability to read engineering design documents.
  • Project Execution: Strong track record of tracking procurement, managing schedules, developing estimates, managing budgets, and controlling change orders.
  • Communication & Leadership: Clear, direct communication style with the ability to interface effectively between shop personnel, procurement, and external clients.
