Job Responsibilities
As a Fabrication Machine Operator, you will:
- Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing instructions
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including:
- Turret presses
- Brake presses
- Cincinnati fabrication machines
- Perform PEM, tapping, and radius operations
- Verify part identification and specifications
- Transfer materials throughout the production area
- Operate previously programmed brake press and turret equipment
- Produce parts that meet quality and production standards
- Support manufacturing schedules and customer requirements
- Communicate quality, production, or safety concerns to supervisors
- Participate as a team member within the manufacturing cell
- Provide suggestions for product and process improvements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and manufacturing instructions
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift materials and perform physical work in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- At least one year of fabrication or metal manufacturing experience
- Experience operating brake presses, turret presses, or similar fabrication equipment
- Knowledge of metal cabinet fabrication
- Understanding of lean or world-class manufacturing principles
- Basic computer skills
