Title: Fab Technician
Location: Beaverton, OR
Pay Rate: $45.00-50.00/hr on W2 (All Inclusive)
Duration: 06+ Months with Possible Extension.
We are seeking a Fab IT Support Technician with 3+ years of experience supporting IT operations in a semiconductor manufacturing, fabrication (Fab), plant, or industrial environment. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical support for end-user devices, production-critical systems, and enterprise applications while ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide desktop, laptop, mobile device, and printer support within a semiconductor fab or manufacturing environment.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows operating systems, Client Office, and business applications.
- Perform hardware diagnostics, device imaging, software deployment, upgrades, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, VPN, and network connectivity issues.
- Manage incidents and service requests through ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira Service Management.
- Support Active Directory user accounts, permissions, password resets, and access requests.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, hardware lifecycle management, and software license compliance.
- Implement and support endpoint security solutions, antivirus tools, device encryption, and patch management processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and support procedures.
- Provide timely support for production-critical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Follow ITIL processes and service desk best practices to ensure high-quality support services.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of IT support experience in a semiconductor manufacturing, fab, plant, or industrial environment.
- Strong experience supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
- Hands-on experience with Windows OS, Client Office, and enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, software installation, imaging, and device configuration.
- Understanding of LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, VPN, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira Service Management, or similar ITSM platforms.
- Experience with Active Directory administration and user support.
- Knowledge of endpoint security, antivirus solutions, encryption, and patch management.
- Familiarity with asset management and software licensing practices.
- Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and service management best practices.
- Exposure to manufacturing applications and production support systems.
