This is a 9-month term appointment 8/16/26 5/15/27 with no renewal and
is subject to budgetary approval.
The Accounting Department in Southern Illinois University
Edwardsville's School of Business seeks applicants for a 9-month
Visiting Assistant Professor beginning August 2026. The candidate's
responsibilities will include developing and teaching undergraduate and
graduate accounting courses. Candidates with teaching experience in
audit, managerial accounting, financial accounting, and/or tax are
particularly encouraged to apply, but all teaching areas will be
considered.
The Department offers AACSB Accounting-accredited programs at both the
undergraduate and graduate levels including a BS in Accounting as well
as a Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA). The MSA has a tax
specialization and a business analytics specialization. The Department
has 8 full-time faculty, over 200 undergraduate majors, and over 60 MSA
students. There are approximately 2,000 students in the School of
Business.
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is a public, comprehensive,
regional university with an enrollment of over 12,000 students. Situated
on 2,660 beautiful woodland acres, the campus is in a small town, 25
minutes northeast from cultural and business centers in St. Louis, MO.

### Qualifications
Applicants must hold a PhD or be ABD nearing completion of a doctoral
degree in Accounting, with preference given to applicants from an
AACSB-accredited institution. Candidates must be qualified as Scholarly
Academic by AACSB standards.
