Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced F5 Network Architect to design, implement, and govern enterprise-scale application delivery and global traffic management solutions. The role will focus on F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM/DNS platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement F5 BIG-IP LTM solutions including Virtual Servers, Pools, iRules, iApps, SSL offloading, and traffic policies.
• Design and manage F5 GTM/DNS for global load balancing, disaster recovery, and multisite failover.
• Define enterprise standards, reference architectures, and best practices for load balancing and DNS.
• Lead capacity planning, HA design, and DR strategies for F5 platforms.
• Integrate F5 with WAF, APM, ASM, AFM, and third-party security solutions.
• Manage F5 infrastructure lifecycle, upgrades, migrations, TMOS upgrades, and cloud deployments.
• Automate F5 configuration using Ansible, Terraform, iControl REST API, and Python.
• Provide L3/L4 technical leadership and serve as an escalation point for complex incidents.
• Perform architecture reviews, risk assessments, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Develop HLD/LLD, runbooks, DR plans, and operational documentation.
• Ensure security, certificate management, and regulatory compliance.

• Required Skills:

• 10+ years of network engineering/architecture experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM/DNS.
• Strong knowledge of F5 LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, APM, and AFM.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, load-balancing algorithms, and iRules/TCL.
• Experience with F5 BIG-IP VE in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, iControl REST/SOAP API, and Python.
• Strong enterprise networking knowledge including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and data-center architecture.
• Experience designing HA/DR architectures across multiple data centers and regions.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with tcpdump, Wireshark, qkview, and F5 iHealth.

• Qualifications:

• F5 certifications such as F5-CTS LTM/GTM, F5-CSE, or F5 Certified Architect preferred.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Ingress, NGINX, and F5 Container Ingress Services.
• Knowledge of SDN/NFV and multi-cloud networking.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• ITIL awareness is a plus.
• Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, and leadership skills.
