As a F&P Spray Technician, you will support our landscaping operations by applying fertilizer and pest control treatments to maintain healthy, attractive landscapes. This role is responsible for treating turf and ornamental plants, monitoring plant health, and delivering excellent service while following all safety and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, values precision, and takes pride in protecting and enhancing client properties.
Responsibilities:
Apply fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides to turf and landscape plantings according to schedules and treatment plansIdentify plant health issues, weeds, insects, and diseases and recommend appropriate treatmentsSafely operate and maintain spray equipment, spreaders, and service vehiclesFollow all company procedures, label instructions, and local, state, and federal regulationsMix, measure, and apply chemicals accurately and responsiblyMaintain detailed service records, application logs, and chemical usage documentationCommunicate with supervisors and account managers regarding treatment outcomes and site conditionsProvide professional, courteous service when interacting with clientsInspect equipment and report maintenance or safety concernsSupport overall landscape health by following integrated pest management (IPM) practicesTroubleshooting and resolving fertilization or pest issues in a timely and efficient mannerAccurately reporting findings to the operations leadership teamUnderstanding client needs while meeting or exceeding expectationsCommunicating escalations to the Account Manager and/or Specialty Services ManagerMaintaining a positive and collaborative attitude with internal and external clients
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalentAbility to obtain and maintain required pesticide applicator licenses and certificationsKnowledge of basic turf and plant care principles or willingness to learnAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to lift equipment and perform physical job tasksMinimum 1 year of chemical or spray application experience in the landscape industryAbility to perform physical work in all weather conditionsReliable transportation
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in lawn care, fertilization, or pest controlState pesticide applicator license or certificationsExperience with turfgrass management and ornamental plant careFamiliarity with integrated pest management (IPM) practicesBilingual (English/Spanish) communication skillsStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage daily service routesInterest in long-term career growth in lawn care, agronomy, or landscape managementValid Florida Driver's License and the ability to pass an MVR check
