    Description

    Extrusion Winder Operators – Eastlake

    We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Winder to operate and maintain winding machines used in the manufacturing of composite pressurized vessels for water filtration applications.

    Responsibilities

    • Set up and prepare winding machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.
    • Load and unload liners onto winding machines and secure them properly.
    • Monitor automated winding processes and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
    • Apply composite fiberglass fibers and resins according to specified winding patterns and layering requirements.
    • Inspect finished vessels for defects and ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
    • Perform routine maintenance on winding machines and troubleshoot equipment issues.
    • Coordinate equipment repairs with maintenance personnel when necessary.
    • Perform daily cleaning of all winding tooling.
    • Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, materials used, and time required for each manufacturing run.
    • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Previous experience as a Winder or in a similar manufacturing role.
    • Familiarity with operating, setting up, adjusting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and equipment troubleshooting skills.
    • Effective communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet production targets and deadlines.
    • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
