Extrusion R&D Technician

As an Extrusion R&D Technician, you will play a key role in setting up, testing, and operating advanced extrusion equipment to produce pioneer films for new applications. Hours:
Monday Friday, 7:00 am 3:00 pm
Pay:
$24.00 $26.00/hour
Key Responsibilities:
Support film extrusion equipment set-up, operation, tooling changeovers, and testing
Troubleshoot equipment issues, research solutions, and support repairs or upgrades
Provide guidance and implement solutions to resolve process and equipment problems
Help develop processing parameters for multilayer films
Ensure machines are functioning safely and efficiently
Report safety concerns immediately and operate equipment safely
Write and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Perform 5S activities and all material handling functions (raw materials and finished goods)
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma/GED or 4+ years of manufacturing experience
3+ years of experience in plastics processing, extrusion preferred
Proficient with computers, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to maintain charts, graphs, and detailed reports
Basic math and measurement skills, including gauging parts
Mechanical aptitude; experience with maintenance/repair of extrusion equipment preferred
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance policies
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain standing or walking for extended periods
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with computerized operator settings and calibration
Knowledge of multilayer film processing
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
3+ years of experience in plastics processing or related manufacturing roles
