Extrusion Operator - Nights 7 pm-7:20 am

We are currently seeking a Packaging Operator to join the Rochelle, IL team.

Pay: $20.75 per hour + $0.75 shift differential for night shift

Shift: Night Shift 7 pm - 7:20 am working a 2-2-3 rotation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Extruder Operator is responsible for setting up and operating extruders, and upstream and downstream unit operations including automatic bagging equipment in an efficient and productive manner. They are responsible for quality assurance of the powder or crisp products being produced.

Qualifications:

• Ideal candidates will have previous exposure to a manufacturing environment and are happy with rolling up their sleeves to do whatever it takes to be a team player.
• Start-up, run, troubleshoot, shut down, and clean the extruder machine.
• Start-up, run, troubleshoot, shutdown, and clean automated bagging lines. Coordinate production runs with the production supervisor to ensure orders are completed on time.
• Communicate with the operator you are relieving, and operator running the automated bagging lines to gain knowledge of the present state of the equipment and production run.
• Communicate with the blender to ensure adequate materials are prepared for the current order and/or blend materials as required.
• Monitor and record production line set points and critical control points.
• Consistently monitor product quality attributes (e.g., particle size distribution, moisture content, pH, sediments, bulk density, shape, etc.) as noted on in-process analysis logs and make processing adjustments to correct deviations.
• Effectively communicate and bring any issues to the attention of the Utility or Production Supervisor overseeing the shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow personal hygiene and GMP Requirements.
• Safety oriented and follow all safety policies and procedures.

The starting salary range for this position for candidates located in Illinois or reporting to a supervisor located in Illinois is $20.75 USD hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including but not limited to skill set and depth of experience.
