Description

Extrusion Operator - 2nd Shift 
Location: Woodland, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: 2 pm to 10:30 pm, trainings in the mornings
Pay: $22/hr, $21/hr while training
About the Role
 Responsible for operating extrusion equipment in accordance with provided documentation and written procedures. This includes setup, operation, and cleanup of machinery. Perform post quality checks to provide the highest quality product with the least amount of waste, while maintaining or exceeding standard line run rates.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and clean extrusion equipment according to production procedures and specifications.
  • Prepare dry and liquid batches and ensure materials are ready before production starts.
  • Monitor equipment and production processes to maintain quality, line rates, and minimize waste.
  • Perform quality checks every 30 minutes and ensure proper product weights, materials, and labeling.
  • Perform equipment changeovers, sanitation, and routine cleaning of extruders and related equipment.
  • Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify and report equipment, quality, or production issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Assist with batch making and packaging operations as needed.
  • Follow GMP, HACCP, food safety, and OSHA safety procedures.
Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Equipment or extrusion operator experience 
  • Basic math skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for handling materials and equipment.
  • Ability to climb stairs and work at heights up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions.
