General Responsibilities: Acts as the central hub for R&A's collaborative efforts with external entities (Universities, Government, and Consortia). This role manages the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring internal and external compliance, financial oversight, and seamless communication with our external partners and between internal technical teams and corporate functions like Legal, Finance, and Portfolio.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, operations, or contract administration.
  • Strong understanding of project budget and ROI/TARR calculations.
  • Knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) management and trade/export controls.
  • Experience handling U.S. Federal grants and federal regulation compliance.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$1144,900.,

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$136,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate''s skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

What you'll do...

  • End-to-End Project Management:

  • Act as the single-entry point for new collaboration requests, reviewing project scope to determine the appropriate agreement is used, and calculating return of investment prior to submit it for Director''s approval.

  • Lead project kick-offs, establish rules of engagement, and manage checkpoints for any modification in scope, timing, or budget.

  • Serve as the primary bridge between internal technical teams and corporate functions, including the Office of General Counsel (OGC) for export control and Legal for intellectual property management.

  • Collaborate with Finance to monitor project budgets and expenses.

  • Ensure formal termination, including final invoice calculation, intellectual property management, property disposition, while ensuring storage of evidence for internal controls and external compliance audits.

  • Proactively create and maintain dashboards to provide valuable insights that inform Directors.

  • Government Grant Compliance:

  • Manage project requirements under the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Transportation (DOT), etc.

  • Support the annual Ford''s compliance audit support by preparing R&A''s Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards SEFA and acting as a liaison with third-party auditors, by providing answers to inquiries about our internal policies, procedures, and audit samples while ensuring data security adherence.

  • Collaborate with finance to calculate the annual direct and indirect rates for preparing the Annual Incurred Cost Submission.
