Introduction
The role is a multi-disciplinary technical authority responsible for the integrity, evolution, and in-house design ownership of lighting systems. This position bridges the gap between mechanical, electrical, software, and optical engineering. The engineer ensures that lighting technologies are robust, manufacturable, and developed using advanced digital transformation tools. The team works on all exterior lighting and all programs, supporting the Applications team across all projects, including headlamps, taillamps, CHMSL, fog lamps, and license plate lamps.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical or software engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in design, development, or launch of automotive lighting or similar components.
- Proficiency in CAD software (such as CATIA, 3DX, Teamcenter) and familiarity with CAE tools.
- Experience in software development, testing, electrical engineering, and systems engineering.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Master's of Science in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
- 7 years of experience in the design and release of exterior lighting.
- Experience in software literacy, mechatronics, and statistical analysis.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a robust system at the vehicle level.
- Create and present technical presentations for peer and management reviews.
- Develop and validate embedded software for network integration and lighting animations.
