Job Title: Exterior Construction Tech
Pay: $18.00/hour
Hours: Monday-Thursday 6 a.m.-4:30 p.m. OT is worked on Fridays

As an Exterior Construction Technician, you will be responsible for
executing the outer finishing, detailing, and final shell assembly of custom mobile sanitation
trailers. Operating in a hands-on, team-focused environment, you will follow structured
manufacturing guidelines to deliver durable, high-performance trailers built from the frame up.
Core Responsibilities
- Siding Installation: Verify specified trim and siding colors. Route door openings, trim
seam tape, secure top and bottom trim with screws, and clean up excess glue and tape
residue. Install plates for optional side mount porches.
- Roof Membrane & Hardware Assembly: Install and trim roof membranes, verify end
cap colors, and tighten trim corners. Secure and properly seal roof metal, end caps, and
corners. Install and seal vent caps, stink pipes, gutters, and optional skylights/vents.
- Skirting & Compartments: Install electrical access compartments and corners. Route
door openings, trim and paint foam insulation as needed, and install skirt doors. Touch up
and paint jack posts.
- Door and Window Integration: Verify door colors and install commercial grade
aluminum doors, locks, indicator locks, kick plates, push/pull plates, and optional
windows. Install and adjust door closers to ensure proper seal and closing mechanics.
Apply exterior decals, install screw covers, and paint latch plate holes.
- Tires and Running Gear Setup: Verify correct tire sizes and rims. Torque wheels to
specified lb/ft requirements, check tire pressure, secure aluminum mod caps, and apply
valve stem caps. Accurately record all tire serial numbers.
- Final External Detailing: Install the permanent Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) tag
onto the trailer frame. Clean exterior siding of all tape or manufacturing residue before
passing the unit to the Trim and Final stage.
- Lean & Safety Operations: Adhere strictly to company safety protocols and Lean
construction principles. Maintain a clean, organized work cell, and actively participate in
identifying and eliminating waste (defects, motion, overproduction).
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Proven experience using pneumatic tools, routers, hand tools, and mechanical measuring
instruments.
-Ability to read blueprints, layout schematics, and technical build specifications.
