Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Extended Reach Forklift Operator (Telehandler) to join our fast-paced oilfield pipe yard and coating facility. In this role, you will safely transport, stack, and stage heavy line pipe, casing, and coated materials across rough terrain and staging yards. Precision is critical to prevent damage to specialized pipe coatings and ensure zero-accident daily operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Safely Operate Telehandlers: Maneuver extended reach forklifts (e.g., Lull, JLG, CAT) to lift and transport steel pipe, pallets, and heavy industrial coating materials.
• Handle Pipe Bundles: Load and unload flatbed trailers, pipe racks, and conveyors with high precision, utilizing specialized attachments (such as pipe clamps or forks) without damaging protective coatings.
• Conduct Daily Inspections: Complete pre-shift equipment inspections, document fluid levels, and immediately report mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
• Coordinate Yard Layout: Work closely with yard spotters, QA/QC inspectors, and coating technicians to ensure materials are staged correctly for the production lines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy extended reach forklifts in an industrial yard, ideally in oil & gas, steel, or pipe manufacturing (Preferred).
• Skills: Knowledge of telehandler load capacity charts and rigging/slinging techniques for pipe bundles.
• Physical Ability: Able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) and stand, bend, or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work 10 to 12-hour shifts, including overtime and rotating weekend schedules as production demands change.
• Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to PPE guidelines (steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest) and a zero-tolerance drug policy.

Shifts:

• 6am-6pm Monday - Friday
• Some weekends as needed
