TITLE OF POSITION: Extended Day Aide

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Mature High School/College Student
• 1-2 years working with children

REPORTS TO: Assistant Principal

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Extended Day Aide assists in maintaining and implementing all aspects of operating the program.

STATUS: Monday through Friday 3:15-5:30pm $20 per hour

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Helps prepare program materials; assists in the daily clean-up of program projects.
• Assists in preparing routine paperwork.
• Attends instructional sessions as directed.
• Maintains a positive relationship with parents, children and other staff.
• Utilizes effective and appropriate behavioral management techniques.
• Assists in supervising and maintaining control of students and implementing planned recreational and educational activities.
• Maintains a safe physical environment.
• Performs all other responsibilities as assigned.
